Closed for 2014

We've been getting a lot of messages lately regarding the status of Rot N. Rusty's.

It is with stiff bodies and morbid hearts we announce
we will not be open this 2014 season.

We appreciate all of you, our fans and every last volunteer throughout the seasons.

Zombie Run!!!

Zombie Run is a Zombie-infested 5k obstacle fun run.  Run as an individual or form a team to navigate the obstacle course and avoid the flesh eating Zombies!  This event is being held at the Guardian Center, a former cold-war nuclear missile plant converted to be the nations premier disaster preparation and validation center. It features a modern city-scape, 300 vehicles, a working subway and a highway built to D.O.T specifications for us to stage the apocalypse.

The Guardian Centers

Saturday, Oct 25 2014, 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM

600 Perry Pkwy, Perry, GA 31069

What you get as a Zombie:
Discounted race registration for only $20 (optional)
Professional zombie transformation
T-shirt
Admittance to the finish festival
Free snacks and water
An “infected” race medal

Zombie Transformation:
The Zombie Transformation Center is where our zombies will undergo their full zombie transformation. Our team of professional make-up artists will help you channel your zombie identity by transforming your outer beauty into a disgusting and hungry zombie. We will also custom shred and bloody your clothes to attract the most delicious brains, so come in your best costume. The entire zombie transformation process will take about 20 minutes, and when you leave the ZTC you will officially be a member of the Zombie Horde. You can kiss humanity goodbye, at least for a few hours.

What type of zombie do I want to be?
Chaser Zombie:
Think you can outrun the living and get the most brains? Then join our horde of “Chaser Zombies.” The job is simple: chase after runners who think they can get by you and don’t let them by grabbing their flags. But be careful, you have to chase inside your zombie zone or risk being a lone zombie, which doesn’t scare anyone.

Stumbler Zombie:
Join the “Stumbler Zombies” and relentlessly pursue those tasty brains by bringing the intimidation through stumbling, crawling, shuffling, dragging, or any other type of slow movement. Success comes in numbers, so stay in the zombie zone and work together with your fellow stumblers to feed your appetite.

What to Bring:
Besides the race essentials, zombies will need to bring:
-Your best costume. Wardrobe will NOT be provided, so be sure to bring a costume to be bloodied and shredded. Long-sleeve shirts and pants are highly encouraged. Nothing ruins the zombie effect more than seeing your toned arms and legs, and we will not have time to apply makeup to them.
-Contacts, if you love the haunted, undead eye look.
-Photo ID.
-Parent/legal guardian signed waiver (only if you are under 18).
-Lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities after your zombie shift.
-You will be covered in mud, blood, and other apocalyptic liquids after the race, so bring a towel and a change of clothing.
-Your best zombie attitude.

Still have some questions? Check out our zombie FAQs for answers to all things zombie!

Want to run?! If you think you can handle both sides of the food chain, zombies have the option to be runners as well for an additional $20 on event day. When you register, make sure you select “I want to be a runner” in the “Add-Ons” section before you reach the payment page. But like zombie registration, you must sign up to be a runner before the registration deadline.

Important Announcement

Greetings Boils & Ghouls,

After much thought and consideration we announce the hiatus of Rot N Rusty's Haunted House for the 2013 season.  We greatly appreciate your support over the last twelve years, if it weren't for our volunteers and fans none of this would have been possible.  It is time we fall into the dark abyss to continue our decay.  We encourage you all to visit other local haunted houses.

Most importantly...keep an eye out and an ear open for us in 2014!

3 Ring Circus for Charity

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! A Three Ring Circus will be held at Hancock Park June 9thto the public!  This is a big production! We will need volunteers to play clowns, animals (in costume) and even some circus freaks.  The show is meant for families, so this won't be a "scary production".  If you're able to volunteer - we'll be meeting again THIS Saturday May 25th at 1pm in Hancock Park.  Even if you can't make it, please spread the word!  You can never have too many circus clowns!!
